Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs. Barrett,

I am writing to express my interest in the position you have recently posted about. I am Nav, an international student. I have been living in this town for 3 years.

I have been looking for a part-time job for quite a few months. This job perfectly fits into my schedule. Moreover, this job will help me to save money for my tuition fees and also provide me some experience, which will help me in future.

I can help you in light cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and grocery shopping. I also have a driving license which means I can drive you to shopping centers.

I will be on summer break during next summer that means I can work full time. However, I would not be available during weekends because I am planning to join swimming classes. Apart from this I live nearby which enables be to come for help any time of the day.
