Dear Mrs. Barrett,

I am multitalented person. Before the helper I was worker at movers and packers company which transfers the things from one place to another, I know how to handle the stuff of home. I can do packing for you. Presently, I am working as a helper. People have very good opinion regarding my cooking which means I can help you to prepare your food. I can also take care of seniors or children if there are any. I can clean your clean your home and also took care of garden.

I love my work because it not only help me to earn money but simultaneously provide me opportunities to make some close bond in the society.

Although I have a lot of commitments during the weekends but I can only manage the evening time after 6 pm but I am free during weekday anytime from 7 am until 11pm.

I am looking for your valuable reply.

Yours sincerely,

Sushant Khanna

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: suggesting help, explaining the motivation, and detailing availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a neighbor. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the list of tasks (cooking, cleaning, gardening) is presented as a simple list rather than being integrated into a cohesive narrative. The explanation of availability is slightly confusing due to the phrasing regarding weekends versus weekdays. Overall, the response covers the requirements, but the ideas could be expanded with more detail to better demonstrate the candidate's suitability for the role.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure of the request. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition 'Although I have a lot of commitments' is used, but the connection between the sentences in the second paragraph is weak, relying on simple listing ('I can... I can...'). The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between ideas could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect the candidate's past experience with their future intentions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'transfers the things' instead of 'transports items' and 'very good opinion regarding my cooking' instead of 'a reputation for good cooking'. The candidate uses basic vocabulary throughout, such as 'helper' and 'work', which are repeated. While the meaning is always clear, there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language that would be expected at a higher band level. Improving word choice would significantly enhance the professional tone of the letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'I Sushant Khanna, writing this' (missing 'am'), 'advertisement you have posted yesterday' (incorrect tense), and 'clean your clean your home' (repetition). There are also issues with articles and prepositions, such as 'at movers and packers company'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to indicate a lack of control over complex structures. The punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction needs more attention to detail.
