Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

Being a single woman, I am happy to come across your advertisement for helping someone who is also single woman like us in her home and need help for packing and moving her house for few hours next summer. I live in the same town and making new friends is hard in this busy life. So, I would like to join you in this work as it will be good chance get socialize.

Though i work on weekdays as a food supervisor in a restaurant near the Town Centre, i am available on weekdays after 3pm and full day on weekends as its a holiday for all. However, by joining you will be give me great motivation to be independent in life. Moving and packing is a hard physical job but we together surely can do it. A little I know is the woman had met with an accident few months back which still have great impact on her health.

I will be obliged if you can make a count on me next summer as I will have a vacation too. So this will keep me engaged.
