Dear Mrs Barrett,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing a letter to let you know that i have seen your advertisement in the newspaper that you are looking for someone who will help you in your home.
Firstly, I would like to help you in your home. I always try to assist people who need help. As i know you recently moved in our town. I hope you settled down quiet well and you need somebody who can help in your household chores.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points of the prompt. You suggested how you could help, explained your motivation, and provided your availability. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a neighbor. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, you mention you can help with 'household chores' but do not specify which ones (e.g., cleaning, gardening, or shopping). Similarly, your explanation of why you want to do this work is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, try to provide more specific details or examples to fully develop your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'As I told you', and 'This is the reason'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'As i know you recently moved in our town'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly rather than relying on simple sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'advertisement', 'household chores', and 'non-profit organization'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'moved in our town' (should be 'moved to our town') and 'some plenty free time' (which is redundant). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. The range of vocabulary is sufficient for a Band 6, but lacks the flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the newspaper', 'the Non-profit organization'), subject-verb agreement, and capitalization (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I'). There are also punctuation issues, such as the missing comma after 'As I told you'. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic errors like capitalization and article usage to improve your accuracy.
