Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly outlined how you could help (cooking, cleaning, gardening, tutoring), explained your motivation, and provided specific details regarding your availability. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a potential employer. To improve, ensure that you provide slightly more depth in your explanations; for instance, instead of listing tasks, you could briefly elaborate on how your experience makes you a reliable candidate. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore,' 'Besides this,' and 'In addition to this' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The paragraphing is generally clear, though the transition between your experience and your availability could be smoother. To reach a higher band, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas flows more naturally between sentences rather than relying on a list-like structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proficient,' 'stipend,' and 'skilful.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'apartment owner' (landlord would be more precise) and 'doing all kind of house chores' (performing various household chores). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more sophisticated synonyms to replace basic verbs like 'do' or 'work.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. For example, 'I finds this job' (subject-verb agreement), 'suits to my skill set' (incorrect preposition), and 'I have already work' (tense error). Additionally, there are some punctuation issues, such as missing spaces after periods. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency, and proofread your work to catch minor mechanical errors.
