Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: suggesting how you can help, explaining your motivation, and detailing your availability. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a potential employer. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, when mentioning how you can help, you list tasks like 'cleaning' and 'arranging things' without much elaboration. To improve, you could provide more specific examples of your experience or skills to make your application more persuasive. Overall, the response covers the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each addressing a specific part of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'I would like to' and 'I would like to inform you' to transition between ideas. However, the flow between sentences within paragraphs is sometimes a bit repetitive, and the use of linking words is limited. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition to this') to connect your ideas more fluidly and reduce the reliance on simple sentence structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary such as 'advertisement', 'cleaning duties', and 'availability'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and form, such as 'I am expertised in' (should be 'I am an expert in' or 'I have expertise in') and 'house wife' (should be 'housewife'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you are using the correct word forms. The range is sufficient for the task but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I think will be able to' (missing subject 'I'), 'I know almost all the task' (should be plural 'tasks'), and 'in afternoon in weekdays' (should be 'in the afternoons on weekdays'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some missing articles and preposition errors. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, as these frequent minor errors prevent the writing from being fully accurate.
