Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I am writing in response to the advertisement that you need a helper in your home for few hours, which have been posted last week on the newspaper.

I am a university student, and I have semester break on next summer time. I can help you to do your household chores such as gardening and cleaning. I know cooking and help you to make nice recipes from my region. Also, I have a bike so that I can purchase your essential things, particularly medications.

I like to do this work because I want to raise money to pay fees for my next year. Moreover, I have a diploma in housekeeping, and undergone a training program. In addition, I have to finish an assignment regarding this type of job for coming semester.

However, I will be available only on weekdays, since I have joined for a course on weekends.
