IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I 'm writing this to bring it to your attention that I had seen your advertisement that you had posted regarding assistance for some chores at your place for some period of time during the hot weather.

I would like to let you know that I would like to volunteer you in your home for whatever work you would wanted to ask for. I can assist you in doing cleaning, cooking , transferring stuff from one place to another or if you want to look after and provide any sort of caring to either an older or younger member of the family.

The reason why I'm helping you us that currently i am off from my school for summer break and I thought to gain some equivalent experience in helping the community through volunteer work.

My avaliablity is 2 hours in evening time for 5 days a week, and I will not be able to be there on weekends .
