Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: suggesting help, explaining the motivation, and clarifying availability. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'I hope you have a great time' is slightly unnatural in this context. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented, though the development of the motivation could be more focused on the specific role rather than personal career ambitions. Overall, the response fulfills the requirements of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each addressing a specific requirement of the prompt. The progression of ideas is clear, moving from the introduction to the offer of help, the motivation, and finally the availability. Cohesive devices such as 'Related to', 'I believe', and 'otherwise' are used to link sentences and ideas. While the flow is generally good, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the use of referencing could be more sophisticated to improve the overall cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their message clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'endeavour' and 'candidate', which show a reasonable range. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'househelp job' (household help), 'forgien' (foreign), and 'convient' (convenient). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this give me', 'this job help me') and missing articles ('in the coming summer for few hours'). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are minor slips. While the errors are frequent, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the message. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on consistent verb tense usage and article placement.
