Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly outlined how you can assist Mrs Barrett, provided a logical reason for wanting the work, and specified your availability. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. To reach a higher band, ensure your ideas are fully developed; for instance, while you mention wanting to help 'needy people', the context of helping a private homeowner is slightly different from charity work. Refining the connection between your personal goals and the specific nature of the job would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized with clear paragraphing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific requirement of the task, which makes the information easy to follow. You used some cohesive devices like 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'As a result' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the flow between sentences is more natural. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, and the letter follows a standard structure from the opening to the closing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'culinary skills', 'domestic chores', and 'prompt response'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'it will access me an opportunity' (should be 'provide me with') and 'instead of spending time on a social media' (should be 'on social media'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the sophistication and precise collocation required for higher bands. Focusing on more natural word combinations will help improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I will be help you' (should be 'I will help you'), 'water the plants' (should be 'watering the plants' to match 'removing weeds'), and 'I will unable' (should be 'I will be unable'). These errors are frequent but do not impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to verb forms and auxiliary verbs. Increasing the number of error-free sentences will help you move toward a higher band.
