Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing in response to your advertisement for assistance at your home for a few hours a day in the summer. I believe this position is well-suited for me as I can help in household tasks like cooking and cleaning.

I am responsible to keep your living space tidy and caring towards pets. Apart from this, not only these tasks, but I am able to do other things also such as maintaining your garden, watering to the plants and grocery shopping.

I would like to this job because it enhance my interpersonal skills and it provides valuable experience. Moreover, working with an English speaker like you will in improve my English fluency.

I am available from Monday to Friday but not on the weekends because I want to spend time with family members.

Thank you for considering me to assist you in your household chores during summer and I am looking forward the possibility of working in next summer.
