Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are doing well. I have read an advertisement, I am really pleased to help you out in your home chores for few hours during next summer.

I could help you in a many ways, such as cleaning, shopping groceries, prepare a healthy meals and doing a laundry. Apart from that, I could also get medicines and take packages to the post office.

I would like to do this work because I really enjoy helping others and this position is helpful to gain valuable experience while earning some extra money during summer. I am punctual, trustworthy and responsible and I am confident enough you could rely on me.

I will be available June to August, and can work Monday to Friday, 9AM to 1PM. However, I will not be able to work on weekends due to prior family commitments. Also, I am not available for 1 week in July because previously arranged trip.
