Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I am writing to express my interest to help you in your house for next summer.

I have a valuable experiance of helping other people in household chores and activities such as moving furniture, cleaning house as well as lawn moving and setting up the garden. Having that said, I can complete these type of tasks efficiently and smoothly.

I am willing to grab this opportunity as I am having my school summer vacation and I am looking for some social work around the neighborhood in order to gain experiance for my next term project "Helping Hand" in school.

My availability will be Monday to Friday from 9am till 4pm as I have dance class in the evening after 5pm. On the weekend, I have to attend my piano classes in the morning but I can come over in the afternoon if needed.
