IELTS Writing Task 1 question

Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mrs. Barrett,

I hope this letter finds you well!

I am writing to express my interest to help you in your home for a few hours a day next summer. I am a full-time student and I will on my study break before I start my second semester.

I can help you with various household chores for a few hours in day such as gardening, cooking, cleaning and if you have a pet, I can take for a evening walk.

I would love to help you with theses activities because I am tremendously interested doing these tasks. I feel extremely happy and content doing all this work, as this is a relaxation therapy for me.

I will be available on weekdays from Monday to Friday and I can start at 3pm and finish around 6pm. Also I would like to inform you in advance that I would not be able to work or help you on weekends.
