Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to express my interest to help you in working in your home for a few hours next summer.

I will help you through various ways. For example, I have a good culinary skills, so I will prepare meal for your family. Also, I will assist you to remove weeds from garden and watering plants, and help you to keep your home neat, tidy and well-organised.

I love to do this work because it would be beneficial for me to spend quality time with a new people and have some fun. Also, domestic chore will keep me fit and active and it will improve my communication, cooperation and teamwork capabilities. However, rather than spending time on a social medial, it would be better to help needy people and do some charity work.

About my availability, I will help you from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, however, I will unable to assist you on weekends or public holidays.

I will appreciate if you could accept my request and allow me to become a part of you family and help you in next summer. I look forward to your prompt response in this matter.
