Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are good in health and spirit. I am writing this letter to show my interest in your advertisement. My name is Manpreet Singh. I live in the same town as you.

I can help you in many things such as, gardening, cooking, and cleaning. I have certification and experience in cooking for ten years. I can cook Italian, Indian, Chinese, and Western food.

Moreover, I work as a volunteer in red heart foundation in which we provide low cost services to people. I am an extrovert person so I like to meet new people and get to know about them.

Apart from it, I will be free on every friday during summer. So I believe this will be best way to use this time to assist you. However, I will be not available from Saturday to Thursday. I hope this will work for you.
