Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
You have addressed the first two bullet points regarding how you can help and why you want the job. However, you failed to address the third bullet point, which asks you to explain when you will and will not be available. This is a significant omission that impacts your score. While your ideas about housekeeping are relevant, they are somewhat repetitive and lack specific detail. To improve, ensure you explicitly cover every instruction provided in the prompt to demonstrate full task completion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter lacks a clear logical progression. While you use some transition words like 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore', the paragraphing is inconsistent and the flow between sentences is often disjointed. The structure feels somewhat mechanical, and the lack of a clear opening and closing structure for a formal letter (such as a proper sign-off) affects the overall coherence. To improve, focus on grouping related ideas into distinct paragraphs and using cohesive devices more naturally to connect your thoughts.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'each and everything' and 'respective manner' are used incorrectly or sound unnatural. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'intrest' and 'readon'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the context of housekeeping and ensure accurate spelling of common words. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and verbs will help you express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with verb tense consistency ('i just go through', 'i completely my summer course') and capitalization (the pronoun 'i' is consistently lowercase). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of control over complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which occasionally makes the text difficult to follow. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and ensuring that the pronoun 'I' is always capitalized.
