Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

I am writing in response to your advertisement for someone to help you at home next summer. I would be very interested in assisting you for a few hours each day.

I can help with a range of household tasks, including cleaning, washing dishes, preparing simple meals and doing grocery shopping. I am also happy to water plants, take care of pets, or help organise cupboards and other areas of the house if needed.

I would particularly like this job because I enjoy helping people and would welcome the opportunity to improve my spoken English. As I live nearby, I would also be able to arrive reliably and help at short notice if necessary.

I will be available from Monday to Friday throughout June and July. I can work in the mornings from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., although I could occasionally stay later with advance notice. However, I will not be available during the first two weeks of August because I will be visiting relatives.
