Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I am writing this letter as I saw your advertisement regarding the helper for home for a few hours a day next summer. I wanted to inform you that I am available to help you.

I can be a valuable person for you as I can cook for you, can help your children in their homework, take care of your dog and many other minor works whatever you need. I would love to do this work as I am given a project from school to help others. In this way, my project will be accomplished and eventually your work will also be done.

However, I am available at weekends as well as every Tuesdays for work. For weekends I can come from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm and for Tuesdays I might be able to reach at 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. If you have any doubt or question, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to resolve that.
