Mrs Barrett, an English-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer.

Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter

• suggest how you could help her in her home
• say why you would like to do this work
• explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett,

I hope you are in the pink of your life. I recently saw an advertisement for a part-time helper. I can help you with all general tasks like cleaning, cooking, and other household work.

I am currently studying and can work part-time, and I have also worked before as a cleaner and also as a cook, which gave me good experience of doing all household duties.

I am available to work on weekdays as I am currently a student; however, I am available on Wednesdays and Thursdays as I do not have classes on those two days. Seeking a positive response from your side.
