Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you suggest household tasks, explain that you want to help and earn money, and describe your usual availability. The examples of washing clothes, dishes, preparing food, and caring for children make your offer relevant. However, some parts are less fully addressed than others. Your reason for wanting the work is repeated (“helping people” and “interested in helping people”), while the benefit of gaining experience is only briefly explained. Most importantly, you say you are free in the evening but do not specify which days or when you will be unavailable, so Mrs Barrett cannot clearly plan around your schedule. Give precise days and times, and develop your reasons with one clear, specific explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce your offer, explain your motivation, and then discuss availability. Paragraphing supports this progression, and connectors such as “Moreover” and “If” help link some ideas. This meets the requirement for coherent organisation, while the sequence within sentences is occasionally awkward or repetitive. For example, the money point is expressed twice in “I want to earn money so this is become a source of money I would earn some money.” The final request and availability are also crowded together. Separate the schedule from your closing request, and use linking phrases only where they clarify the relationship between ideas. This would make the progression smoother and the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main offer, including “household chores,” “washing clothes,” “take care of your children,” and “earn money.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts less natural. For instance, “another you saying” is unclear, “helping person” is not a natural expression, and “some my expense” does not express your meaning accurately. There are also misspellings such as “intersted,” “experince,” and “sincerly.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; a wider set of expressions for domestic tasks, motivation, and scheduling would improve clarity and flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand your main message. However, errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “I am writing this letter regarding for I am interested,” “I have experienced in this work,” and “this is become a source of money.” The availability sentence, “I am student regulary I go to the university,” also joins ideas without a clear grammatical link. Practise forming accurate clauses with appropriate verb patterns—for example, “I have experience doing this work”—and use full stops or conjunctions to separate complete ideas. More reliable control of these patterns would make your message clearer.
