Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points in the task: you offer household help, explain your motivation, and give specific times when you are and are not available. The examples of washing dishes, preparing food, shopping, and helping with homework make your offer relevant. Your reason for applying is also clear, especially your interest in helping people and gaining experience related to a future hospitality degree. Some details are less fully developed: for example, you mention caring for children without indicating whether this is a service Mrs Barrett needs or describing your experience. The letter would be stronger if you focused on the most relevant duties and added a little supporting detail about your suitability for them.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: you introduce your purpose, describe possible duties, explain your motivation, and then state your availability. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “Regarding my availability” make the relationships between ideas clear. Some connections are less smooth, however. The list of chores shifts quickly from indoor tasks to errands and childcare, and the closing follows the availability paragraph rather abruptly. A more deliberate sequence—for example, grouping household tasks together and then adding a sentence about relevant experience—would improve progression. The letter’s basic organisation is effective, though some linking remains mechanical.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for a domestic-help letter, including “household chores,” “organizing cupboards,” “grocery,” “practical experience,” and “family commitments.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and the attempt to use more specific language is useful. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “erads,” “picke,” “plane pursue,” and “hospitialy.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “a wide variety of household task” and “grocery picke something.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for household duties and future study. More accurate phrasing would make your vocabulary sound more natural and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple sentences and some more developed structures, such as “I am eager to do this work because…” and “Moreover, as … in the future, … would be incredibly valuable for me.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include the missing “an” in “I would love to opportunity,” the incorrect pattern “I enjoy to helping,” and “I would available” instead of “I would be available.” There are also issues with articles, plurals, and sentence punctuation, as in “household task such as,” and inconsistent capitalisation of “Monday” and “I.” Review verb patterns and check each sentence for a complete verb phrase and correct agreement.
