Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points in the task: you list household help, explain your reasons for wanting the work, and give a period and daily hours when you are available, as well as noting that weekends are unavailable. The examples of chores make your offer relevant and clear. However, some details are less fully explained: “I can also take care of your children” is not developed, and your reasons—helping people, gaining hospitality experience, improving English and earning money—are presented quickly without showing which is most important. Clarifying your experience or how your help would benefit Mrs Barrett would make the letter more complete and persuasive. The purpose and overall message remain clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce your purpose, describe the help you can offer, explain your motivation, and then state your availability before closing. Paragraphing supports this progression, and phrases such as “Regarding my availability” help signal a change of topic. Some connections between ideas are less smooth, however. The list of chores and errands is crowded into one paragraph, while the reasons for wanting the job shift rapidly from helping people to study, English and money. Grouping related points and adding a brief explanation between them would improve flow. The closing is recognisable, but the sign-off and preceding sentence need more conventional phrasing to make the letter feel fully polished.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for domestic work, including “organizing cupboards,” “washing clothes and dishes,” “dusting,” and “watering plants.” “Practical experience” and “prior family commitments” also communicate useful details. However, several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the language less natural: “response your advertising,” “moping,” “run errand,” “Hosptiatly,” and “my expensive.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main message, but they show that control of vocabulary is uneven. Aim to learn common phrases as complete units and check spelling carefully, especially for words connected to your studies and reasons for applying.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate using both simple statements and some longer structures, such as “I am eager in this work because…” and the sentence explaining your availability. The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “someone help your in home” needs a correctly formed infinitive phrase, and “I will not available” is missing the verb “be.” In “I want learn English,” the infinitive marker is also needed. There are errors with articles, prepositions and sentence punctuation in the task list, including “such as, organizing…”. Practise accurate sentence patterns for offers, reasons and availability; this will help you retain variety while making your writing more reliable.
