Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you offer cleaning, dishes, laundry, watering plants and shopping; explain that you enjoy helping others; and give specific days and times when you are available or unavailable. The letter is relevant and appropriately directed to Mrs Barrett. The availability details are particularly clear. However, the reason for wanting the work is less fully explained: “I would know how to study things and managing the items” is unclear, so the reader cannot readily understand what you hope to gain. The offer of help could also be made more specific, for example by saying which tasks you are most experienced with. The response covers the task well overall, but clearer development of these ideas would make it more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: you introduce your offer, explain your motivation, set out your schedule, and close by inviting Mrs Barrett to respond. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these different purposes, and the final request connects naturally to the offer. You also use linking language such as “because” and “if necessary” to show relationships between ideas. Some connections within sentences are less smooth, particularly in the explanation of why you want the work, where the ideas about studying and managing items are difficult to follow. There are also a few spacing and punctuation slips that interrupt the presentation. Overall, the organisation is logical; clearer links between ideas would make the progression more consistently fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of household vocabulary, including “cleaning,” “doing the laundry,” “watering the plant,” and “grocery shopping,” so the reader can understand the services you offer. The main limitation is inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation, which sometimes makes the message awkward or unclear. Examples include “dally routine” for “daily routine,” “weakend” for “weekend,” and “go market” rather than “go to the market.” “Study things” is also an unclear expression in the context of your motivation. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall purpose, but more accurate everyday phrases and careful proofreading would improve clarity and naturalness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate using a mix of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “if.” This gives the letter some structural variety, and the schedule is generally understandable. However, some grammatical errors remain. For example, “like cleaning the room, washes the dishes” does not maintain a consistent verb form; use “cleaning the room, washing the dishes.” In “I would know how to study things and managing the items,” the forms after “how to” are not parallel. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in “do a household work.” These issues do not usually block the message, but more consistent verb forms and parallel structures would strengthen accuracy.
