Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points in the prompt: you offer help with cleaning, laundry and grocery shopping, explain that you enjoy helping others and want to develop your communication skills, and give weekday hours while noting your weekend commitments. The purpose of the letter is clear and the details are relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you could explain briefly what household tasks you are most experienced with, and give more context about your availability, such as whether those hours apply throughout the summer. The reasons for wanting the work are understandable but remain fairly general. Adding one or two specific details would make the application more convincing and complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter has a clear progression: you introduce your application, describe the help you can provide, explain your motivation, and then state your availability. Paragraphing supports this structure, and transitions such as “Regarding my availability” and “However” help the reader follow the information. The closing is also appropriate for a formal letter. To make the flow more polished, connect related ideas more naturally and avoid repeating the same sentence pattern, particularly in “I manages my work” and “I manages my tasks.” The final sentence also has an unintended pause in “hearing from you.soon.” Overall, the organisation is easy to follow, with some cohesion and presentation details to refine.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the task, including “household tasks,” “laundry,” “groceries,” “family commitments” and “communication skills.” This gives you enough range to explain your offer and motivation. However, spelling errors and some inaccurate or unnatural word choices are noticeable, including “advertisment,” “activites,” “shoping,” “appriciate” and “enhace.” Some phrases are also awkward, such as “offers me to add more experience” and “makes ways for futher opportunities.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for describing work experience and personal development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast with “However” and a conditional-style offer to discuss schedules. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “I manages” should be “I manage,” and “This job can also helps my” needs a base-form verb after “can” and the correct pronoun. In “I will be not available,” the usual order is “I will not be available.” There are also article and punctuation issues, such as “for few hours” and the opening “Dear. Mrs Barrett,”. Practise subject–verb agreement, modal verb patterns and standard letter punctuation, then proofread each sentence for these points.
