Dear Mrs Barrett,

My name is Kai, one of your neighbour in the town. I am writing this letter let you know that I saw your advertisement in the cafe this morning, about you are looking for someone look after your dog for 2 months in the next summer. I am keen!

I am living at street 2 just 5 minutes walk from your place to mine. I can always drop by in the morning for few hours and bring your dog for a walk or bring him to the vet if needed. I will be in the town anyway, so it will not borther me at all.

I have such exeprience before, I helped Mrs Luaren last year as well. She was satisfiied with my service. therefore, do not worries about this. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Additionally, I would like to let you know that I will not be available from 16th to 19th August due to family vacation, other than that I will be available the rest of the summer next year.

Looking for your reply.

Best Regards,

Kai

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the main points by offering practical help, explaining your motivation, and stating a period when you are unavailable. The offer to walk the dog or take him to the vet is relevant, and your previous experience helping Mrs Luaren gives Mrs Barrett a reason to consider you. However, the task asks about helping in her home, while your letter shifts to caring for a dog; this changes the advertised work and leaves the home-help aspect unclear. Your reason for wanting the work is also only partly explained: being nearby and available shows convenience, but not why you personally want the job. Clarify the duties in the home and add a direct reason, such as gaining experience or earning money.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter has a clear overall progression: you introduce yourself and the advertisement, describe the help you can offer, mention experience, and finish with your availability and a closing. Paragraphing supports this sequence, and phrases such as “Additionally” help signal a new point. The reader can follow the main message without difficulty. Some links are less smooth or precise, however. “I am keen!” is abrupt after the opening, and “therefore” begins a sentence without a clear connection to the preceding claim about Mrs Luaren. The final availability information would also be easier to process if the dates and the rest of the summer were expressed in a more direct, clearly contrasted way.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the offer and relevant details, including “advertisement,” “available,” “experience,” and “contact me.” There is some variety in describing possible duties, and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions reduce accuracy and control: “borther,” “exeprience,” and “satisfiied” are misspelled, while “drop by” is rather informal for this letter and “I am keen!” does not specify what you are keen to do. Some phrases also do not fit the task precisely, particularly the repeated focus on dog care rather than household help. Choose accurate, appropriately formal wording and proofread spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of simple and more developed sentences, including the conditional phrase “if needed” and the sentence explaining your unavailability. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in basic patterns. For example, “one of your neighbour” needs a plural noun, and “I am writing this letter let you know” is missing “to.” The opening also has an incomplete construction in “about you are looking for someone look after your dog.” In “I helped Mrs Luaren last year as well. She was satisfied … therefore,” the sentence boundary and punctuation need attention. Work on articles, infinitives, agreement, and sentence boundaries; these corrections would make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
