Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the three requested points: you offer help at home, explain that you are a student seeking a summer activity, and state that afternoons suit you. However, the proposed help is not specific—you mainly repeat that you can help “in your home”—and your reason for wanting the work is not fully clear. Your availability also needs a clearer explanation of when you cannot work, rather than only saying you are available in the afternoon. The closing request for a reply is relevant, but the letter is one word below the required 150-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt are not counted. Add practical examples of tasks and clarify your schedule to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for your motivation and availability, and the reader can follow its general purpose. You also use basic links such as “Also” and “The reason is.” However, progression is sometimes repetitive: the opening and first main paragraph both restate that Mrs Barrett needs help and that you can work for a few hours. Some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly “When i do this work it helps me…” and the transition into your reason for being unavailable in the morning. Organise the content around the three task points, avoid repeating the prompt, and use clearer links between each explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is basic but generally communicates the main message, using relevant terms such as “summer vacation,” “available,” and “personal work.” However, several choices are repetitive or unnatural for a formal letter. “House help activity” does not clearly describe the work you could do, while “co-oparate with my timing” and “Your wanna be helper” are unsuitable or unclear expressions. There are also spelling errors, including “co-oparate” and “sent.” Use precise names for household tasks and conventional polite phrases. A broader range of natural expressions would make your purpose and tone clearer without making the letter overly formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate through mostly simple sentences and make some attempts to explain reasons using clauses such as “The reason is…” and “When i do this work…”. However, control is inconsistent, and several errors affect readability. For example, “I saw your advertised yesterday” has an incorrect sentence structure, and “i am not a. orning person” is broken and difficult to interpret. Other issues include missing articles in “for few hours,” incorrect verb forms in “have to done,” and punctuation problems such as “that,I” and “So ,”. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with correct verb forms and punctuation.
