Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environment become progressively deteriorate due to increasing use of plastic goods day by day.Plastics are not absorbed in soil resulting in reduce its productivity and enhances global warming precisely.Government and society need to take early action to neutralise the issue.
From last few years, use of plastic items rises significantly due to its availability and cost effective production. In recent years, it has been shown that many factories grew up to manufacture different kind of plastic products without any permission. However, plastic never mix with soil and water resulting in making soil unfertile for harvesting any crops and falling in fish production in the river. Moreover, some people burn out plastic items in sense of recycling procedure which will produce unsusal smoke and flam.As a result, global temperature become rises gradually which produce a green house effect in future. In addition, smaller particles of plastics are used in some consumer products to increase their weight which affect our health badly. For example, increasing temperature in the world make water level rises significantly at Antarctica.
Government and people should take some actions to overcome this problems.A strict law should impose by council to stop using plastic items in all aspects. Moreover, production of plastic goods should be prohibited and need to monitor this factories regularly and fine them. Also, people from different society foster to use alternative of plastics like using jute bags, glass bottles for daily use which will easily absorb to the environment. For example, In Bangladesh stop of using plastics encourage to use jute bag which helps to open jute factories and flourish their economy as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question and maintain a clear overall position that plastic harms the environment and action is needed. Relevant effects include soil becoming less productive, harm to fish production, smoke from burning plastic, and possible health impacts; your proposals include stricter laws, monitoring factories, and using jute bags and glass bottles. The Bangladesh example gives one recommendation useful context. However, some claims are unclear or insufficiently explained: the link between plastic particles and consumer-product weight, for instance, is difficult to follow, and the Antarctica example does not clearly show how plastic causes rising water levels. Develop each point with a more precise explanation and a directly relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on environmental damage, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. The main ideas generally appear in a sensible order, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “As a result,” and “For example” help signal relationships. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “As a result” introduces global warming after the discussion of burning plastic, but the causal connection needs clearer explanation; similarly, the Antarctica example is not clearly tied to the preceding point. References such as “this problems” and “this factories” also make it harder to identify exactly what is meant. Use transitions selectively and make each paragraph’s examples explicitly support its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “global warming,” “green house effect,” “soil unfertile,” “recycling,” and “alternative of plastics.” These attempts show that you can discuss environmental effects and policy solutions, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the meaning less precise. For example, “neutralise the issue,” “burn out plastic items,” and “foster to use” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “unsusal” and “flam” also contain spelling errors. Aim for accurate, conventional combinations such as “address the problem,” “burn plastic,” and “encourage people to use alternatives.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, especially in key claims.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “Plastics are not absorbed in soil resulting in…” and a relative clause beginning “which will produce…”. This gives the response some structural variety, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are persistent and can make ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Environment become progressively deteriorate,” “global temperature become rises,” and “A strict law should impose by council.” There are also problems with plural and determiner forms, as in “this problems” and “this factories,” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build complex sentences with controlled verb forms and clear punctuation.
