Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this cutting edge era, Waste of plastic is spreading day by day which put bad impact on the environment. To solve this problem i have several solutions which I would like to discuss in upcoming paragraphs.
Plastic packaging, bags and bottles are damaging the environment due to the several reasons First and foremost is polluting the water of lakes and rivers. To explain this, most of the individuals believe that there are some rivers and lakes which are polluted because of the plastic waste like bags and bottles which is not only put bad impact on human but also the marine life under water. Secondly, increasing tourism can also effect the environment. To elaborate it, when a lot of people visit to the tourist places then they use plastic packaged foods, bottles and bags which they through here and there because they believe its not there own country which can lead to a bad effect on the environment.
On the other hand, there are a lot of solutions to solve this that government should crate a law to reduce this plastic waste. To explain it, many people think that if government create law of prohibited the plastic use which helps to save the environment. Also, authorities should charge a fine or put some pnalities on these who does not follow this rule due to the fear of this people start following the law which can improve the environment.
To conclude it, there are several reasons like water pollution and the increment in the number of visitors will put bad impact on the environment which can be reduced if government can help to reduce the waste.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the environmental damage caused by plastic and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how tourism affects the environment is a bit repetitive and lacks specific examples of the 'bad effect' beyond general statements. The solutions provided, such as government laws and fines, are relevant but could be expanded with more detail on how individuals can contribute beyond just following laws. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument is more characteristic of a Band 6 level, as some points are under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To explain this, most of the individuals believe that...' and 'To elaborate it'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'due to the fear of this people start following the law', where the connection between the fine and the behavior change could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is a reliance on basic terms like 'bad impact', 'good', and 'things'. Some word choices are imprecise or non-standard, such as 'crate a law' (create), 'pnalities' (penalties), and 'through here and there' (throw). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there are several spelling errors that, while not impeding communication, indicate a lack of control over more complex lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'Waste of plastic is spreading... which put bad impact' (which puts a bad impact), 'most of the individuals believe' (most individuals), and 'prohibited the plastic use' (prohibiting plastic use). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. While the errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score to a Band 5.5.
