In recent years, conservation of environment is the main concern. Plastics materials like bags, bottles and packaging has an adverse impact on environment. The plastic cause a severe damage to environment. It cause land and water pollution. It causes land pollution when it takes longer time to discompose in comparison with other materials. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying environmental damage and suggesting solutions for both governments and individuals. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention land and water pollution, the explanation of human health impacts is slightly underdeveloped and lacks specific evidence. The position is clear throughout, but the arguments could be extended with more depth to reach a higher band. For example, rather than just stating that plastic is 'cheaper', you could have explored the economic challenges of transitioning to alternatives. The response is relevant, but the depth of analysis is consistent with a mid-range performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the problem to the solutions. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore' to link sentences. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by grammatical errors, such as the opening sentence of the second paragraph. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall structure would benefit from more sophisticated linking words to improve the flow between and within paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use topic-specific terms like 'decompose', 'sustainable', and 'penalties'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'discompose' (should be 'decompose'), 'stuck' (should be 'get stuck'), and 'hard to torn' (should be 'hard to tear'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations. To improve, focus on learning the correct verb forms and adjective-noun pairings.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Plastics materials... has', 'The plastic cause', 'it contain'), incorrect verb forms ('they died' instead of 'they die'), and article usage errors ('the environment' vs 'environment'). These errors are noticeable and occur frequently, though they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your point. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage.
