Student answer (Band 5.5)
Plastic bags, Bottles and packaging have become a mjor part of modern life . However their widespread can cause threat not only to the human life but also degrade the environment. Degrading environment speciafically means causing problems with living beings whch directly affects the working of who,e universe which includes sea, forests and galxies too. Plastic takes long to get decomposed and it counted into thousands years ,but the governemnt and indiviuals being a part of society can create a strict law , rules and regualtion against the comapnies who are working for manufacturing plastics. wheras indiviuals avoid themselves for the usage of plastics intsead prefer recycable products.
Decomposing plastics is a dauting task and it takes many years to get decomposed which clearly affects the future life and it has been manifested that sustainabilitly getting lost day by day due to more usage of plastics. To cite an epitome India is one the most famous country who is using plastics stuff more adn due to which the pollution level of india is on peak and people are encountering with health and liver problems
The serious actios should be taken by the government to banned the palstics and strict action should be taken against the defaulter so that they think twice before approaching for the usage of plastic . Additionaly government should provides some incentives who are avoiding plastics so that they get stuck in that trap and stop polluting the environment .
Individuals plays cruicial roles in solving this issue . They should use alternatives of plastics for example instead of buying poly bag each and every shopping they can use cloth bag for their shopping .Although these actions seem small but they can create a significant change in the environment.
To summarize, I personallly believe that platsics should be banned completely and usage of papers and cloths should be advanced. Governmnet should introduce some regulations and proper recycling sytems , While indivials reduced the usage of poly bags. All of them can make a severe change in the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying environmental damage and suggesting solutions for both governments and individuals. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the mention of 'galaxies' is irrelevant and confusing, and the explanation of how plastic affects the environment lacks scientific depth. While the position is clear, the arguments are repetitive, particularly regarding the need for bans. To improve, you should focus on providing more specific, logical explanations for the environmental impact and more practical, well-explained solutions rather than repeating the same points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical and sometimes illogical. For instance, the transition 'To cite an epitome' is misused, and the connection between ideas within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the pronoun usage is confusing. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices, they are often used incorrectly or in a way that makes the text feel repetitive and slightly disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'mjor', 'speciafically', 'whch', 'galxies', 'governemnt', 'indiviuals', 'regualtion', 'comapnies', 'wheras', 'intsead', 'recycable', 'dauting', 'sustainabilitly', 'adn', 'actios', 'palstics', 'defaulter', 'Additionaly', 'cruicial', and 'sytems'. These errors are numerous and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'sustainability' and 'incentives', the overall range is limited, and the frequent spelling mistakes prevent a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Individuals plays'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'they get stuck in that trap'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several missing or misplaced commas and spaces. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limits the clarity and flow of your writing.
