Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying environmental damage and suggesting solutions for both governments and individuals. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how plastic harms the ecosystem is a bit repetitive, and the example regarding Canada lacks specific detail to fully support the argument. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced explanations and more concrete, well-integrated examples. While the task is fully addressed, the depth of analysis remains at a general level rather than a fully developed one.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear progression of ideas throughout the text. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'To elaborate', and 'Hence to conclude'. However, some of the transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are occasional issues with referencing and sentence-level flow, such as in the sentence 'To resolve, the issue in the concern officers should make strict law'. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking phrases will help improve the flow of your arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'non-biodegradable', 'eco-friendly', and 'global warming'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'plays a vital role for damaging environment' (should be 'contributes to damaging the environment') and 'desire action should taken' (should be 'desired action should be taken'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word forms are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the environment', 'the Canada'), verb forms ('throwing it' instead of 'throwing them'), and sentence construction ('According to my view for overcome the issue'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are missing commas after introductory phrases. The errors are noticeable and occasionally require the reader to re-read for clarity, though they do not prevent the overall message from being understood. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
