Nowadays, environment has getting more polluted by using plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic packaging. Synthetic harms the environment. In this essay I will discuss about the environmental issues and solution for these issues.
On the one hand, there are a plethora of reasons for damaging the environment. Firstly, usage of plastic bags, bottles, and packaging significantly increasing. Because of the low cost for these materials, which is why many people are prefer to use their daily routine; such as, drinking water in plastic bottle, in kitchen they are using synthetic materials for groceries. Moreover, in the restaurants take away food they are packing with plastic containers. This trend is very unhealthy not only for individuals life, but also negative impact on the environment. For example, in India, medical trash and household trash they are dumping on the city streets and rivers, hence these damge negatively impact on water facilities, ecosystem, and environment.
On the other hand, for these issues not only governments but also individuals should adress these problems. Additionally, individuals cut down use of the synthetic materials. Instead of plastic they ought to use hygenic materials. If governments invest money for cleaning, that would be help for the enitre society. For instance, in London, legislative government passed the law in 2020, to adress these issues, do not dump trash on streets and rivers. If people do not follow these rules, government will punish for this. In survey, last year showed 70% of improvement happened. This is an ultimate law for protecting the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying environmental damage caused by plastic and suggesting solutions for governments and individuals. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of environmental damage relies on general statements rather than specific, well-explained mechanisms. The solutions provided are also quite basic. While the position is clear, the essay would benefit from more detailed examples and a more thorough exploration of the consequences of plastic pollution to reach a higher band. The structure is logical, but the depth of analysis is limited.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' are used to link ideas. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Because of the low cost for these materials, which is why many people are prefer to use their daily routine'. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, and the transition between sentences could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is logical, but the use of cohesive devices is not always flexible or natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. The student uses basic terms like 'bad', 'unhealthy', and 'trash' repeatedly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'plethora' and 'legislative', but these are sometimes used in contexts that feel slightly unnatural or imprecise. Collocations are occasionally weak, such as 'legislative government passed the law' or 'doing measurements'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning, it does not demonstrate the flexibility or precision required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'environment has getting more polluted', 'many people are prefer to use', and 'that would be help for the enitre society'. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in article usage and verb tense consistency. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms is needed.
