Student answer (Band 6.5)
The biggest threat in this world is accumulation of plastic wastages in the ocean, gutter lines and everywhere. Decomposition duration of plastic waste upto two hundred years is major concern in the society for environmental hazards. Private entity and government globally should collaborate to curb the usage of non-recycled plastice goods at a massive scale. I strongly believe general population should acknowledge the danger and work towards the solution with the authority.
First of all, there are multiple sectors affected by the polyurethene products is, abudance of water is utilised to manufacture the plastic goods in the factory. Secondly, nearly zero methods to recycle the plastic waste due to poor research by the scientist in this matter, thus increases the enormous quantity of untreated plastic rubbish in the dumpyard and it takes ages to decompose. Hence, in India due to dumping of non-recycled plastic waste in Oakhla and Satara dumping yard has orchestrated the massive health hazards in the local dwellers, such as cases of tuberculosis of lungs, pneumonia, lung fibrosis are evidently found in this region.
To provide sustainable solutions, government should take assessment of the issue and produce strict rules, such as blanket ban on single use plastic products globally. Moreover, passing the law is not enough but the implementation should be priortized from the authority. Additionally, provide education to the laymen people about the drastic climate changes due to heavy consumption of plastic product. India as developing country has taken necessary step in this sensitve issue is complete prohibition on all the products made from the polyurethene and world should notice this. Furthermore, government of India not only ban the plastic but also promoted the alternative material to manufacture the same products from bamboo papers, stainless steel and recycled waste from sugercaine stick.
Overall in the world, general publice must awake and take responiblity avoide usage of unhealthy products for climate. Consiquently, international organisations and state authorities are working for the fruitful result to reduce dependency on plastic and exploring other raw materials.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying environmental damage and suggesting solutions for both governments and individuals. The ideas are relevant, particularly the specific examples regarding health hazards in India. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The explanation of how plastic affects the environment is slightly confused by the mention of water usage in manufacturing, which is less central than the pollution aspect. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis could be improved by connecting the proposed solutions more directly to the specific problems mentioned earlier. Overall, it meets the requirements of the task well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Secondly', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is unclear, such as the transition between the environmental impact and the specific health hazards. Paragraphing is generally appropriate, though some sentences within paragraphs feel slightly disconnected. The progression of ideas is evident, but the logical links between sentences could be smoother to achieve a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, with some attempts at more sophisticated terminology like 'orchestrated', 'sustainable', and 'prohibition'. However, there are several inaccuracies in word choice and spelling, such as 'plastice', 'polyurethene' (used incorrectly to describe all plastic), 'dumpyard', 'laymen people', and 'publice'. These errors are noticeable but do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring the correct spelling of technical terms related to the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with article usage ('the biggest threat in this world'), subject-verb agreement ('government... should collaborate'), and sentence fragments or awkward phrasing ('India as developing country has taken necessary step... is complete prohibition'). Punctuation is also inconsistent in places. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Increasing the number of error-free complex sentences would improve this score.
