Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying environmental damage caused by plastic and suggesting solutions for both governments and individuals. However, the development of ideas is limited by frequent awkward phrasing and underdeveloped explanations. For instance, the student states that plastic is 'very harmful product which cannot be decompose bt millions of years' and explains its effect on agriculture and animals, but the progression of these arguments is hindered by persistent lexical and grammatical opacity. While a clear position and general ideas are presented, the execution falls into the Band 5 descriptor because ideas are under-developed and lack the fully extended support required for higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at logical organization. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to this', and 'overall', but their implementation is frequently inaccurate or mechanical. Referencing is sometimes unclear, as seen in sentences like 'this essay will explain its problems and help how to tackle it' and 'the land is not good are cultivating the crops during that farmers are facing huge lose'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers due to choppy, fragmented sentences and repetitive transitions, aligning best with Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and frequently inaccurate. The student attempts some less common topics-related vocabulary such as 'fertility level', 'vunerable', and 'health hazads', but these are marred by spelling mistakes ('vunerable' instead of vulnerable, 'hazads' instead of hazards, 'attrative' instead of attractive) and faulty word forms ('cannot be decompose', 'fully fill'). Word choice is frequently strained, such as 'high-authorities should do ban' and 'keep green and clean surrounding are very essiental at nowadays'. These noticeable errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a weak lexical control characteristic of Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the control of grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent, persistent errors throughout the text, such as tense and voice issues ('plastic products ae emerging many issues', 'plastic bags which not decompose their stomach'), subject-verb agreement errors, and fragments ('If, land id not produce productivity then, definitely they cannot be able to fullfil their basic requirements'). Complex sentences are almost always faulty, and punctuation is misused (e.g., unnecessary commas like 'Whether or not, to polluting environment has become a popular issue'). These frequent errors hinder smooth readability and correspond to a Band 5 performance.
