Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's rapidy evolving world the topic of plastic pollution has sparked considerable debate among the individuals and experts alike. While there are valid argumnets in support of and against this issue, it remans a matter of personal priorities and brodar global trends. I largely beleive that any kind of plastic bags and bottles are very danagerous for our enviornment. Furthermore, discuss the possible solutions which can be done by governments and individuals to solve this problem.

To begin with, there are several reasons why plastic severely causing environmental damages. First is nowadays more and more pepole are entirely depend on shopping bags which they used in different ways and the most negtive part is all of them are not properly disposed. Due to this it is wiping out entire species of animals from the enviroument. For example, recent studies shows that plastic cause cancer in humans and 90% cases reported in US caused by eating food packed in plastic contaniers.

On the other hand, Its our national duty to solve this problem in coming years if we don't manage to stop it this can cause uncontrollable consequences for humanity. Apart from it governments should allocate more funds to provide education to pepole and do crackdown on plastic products manufactures. On individual level we should stop using and buying things which can harm ourselves and our neighbourhood.

In conclusion, I believe that everyone should take a small part in educating our childrens and pepole around and government should provide his support to minimise this risk in community level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the damage plastic causes to the environment and outlining solutions for governments and individuals. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitious. For instance, the introduction relies heavily on generic templates rather than introducing specific ideas ('While there are valid argumnets in support of and against this issue...'), and the second paragraph makes sweeping generalizations about health impacts without clear elaboration. The conclusion also introduces minor formatting flaws by addressing the reader or using fragmented phrasing. Despite these limitations, all parts of the prompt are touched upon, earning a Band 5.5 for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and mechanical cohesive devices. Phrases like 'To begin with' and 'On the other hand' are used, but the latter is placed inappropriately before a paragraph discussing government solutions rather than a counter-argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronouns like 'this' or 'It's our national duty'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs often feels disjointed due to grammatical errors and abrupt shifts in focus. Overall, the organizational structure corresponds to Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The lexical resource is limited and displays noticeable spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'rapidy' (rapidly), 'argumnets' (arguments), 'remans' (remains), 'brodar' (broader), 'beleive' (believe), 'danagerous' (dangerous), 'enviornment' (environment), 'pepole' (people), 'depend' (dependent), 'used' (use), 'negtive' (negative), 'contaniers' (containers), and 'childrens' (children). Vocabulary is often repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'plastic', 'problem', and 'solution'. While there are attempts at less common phrasing, the high frequency of spelling and word-form errors restricts the score to Band 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak, with a high density of errors that frequently strain the reader's comprehension. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('plastic severely causing', 'recent studies shows'), missing prepositions, and faulty sentence structures ('Furthermore, discuss the possible solutions which can be done...'). Complex sentence attempts often contain severe structural flaws. While a mix of simple and rudimentary complex forms is present, the persistence of basic errors across most sentences places this performance firmly at Band 4.5.
