Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the task: you identify environmental harm and suggest actions for governments and individuals. The points about plastic contaminating soil and burning plastic releasing emissions are relevant, while laws, public awareness, and alternatives such as paper bags provide solutions. However, some explanations are unclear or insufficiently developed. For example, the claim that plastic in soil “creates landslide” needs a clearer explanation, and the effect of emissions on the ozone layer is asserted without support. The proposed awareness classes and alternatives are also mentioned briefly rather than explained with specific examples or likely results. Develop each main point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and ensure the final conclusion completes the recommendation about individual action.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on environmental damage, separate discussion of government and individual measures, and a concluding statement. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand,” and “Overall.” However, some connections feel mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Furthermore,” and the shift from government measures to individual action could be signposted more clearly. Some references are difficult to follow, as in “these option,” and the final sentence ends abruptly, weakening the conclusion. Use a wider range of natural transitions, make pronoun references precise, and ensure each paragraph develops one clearly connected set of ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “sustainability,” “contaminating,” “eco-friendly,” and “consumption,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “plastic,” “usage,” and “environment,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts less clear. For instance, “loss of fertilizer from soil” does not clearly express the intended environmental effect, while “toxisity” and “dramastic reduce” are not appropriate forms. There are also many spelling errors, including “conataminating,” “emmission,” and “atmosphers.” Build a bank of accurate environmental collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your ideas more precise and easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “which” and “by using,” so there is some variety. However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms occur across the response and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “the problems arise by the usage,” “what measures should taken,” and “burning of plastic cause,” where the verb patterns or agreement are faulty. The sentence beginning “Consume natural products” also needs a grammatical subject form and a clearer clause structure. Work on subject–verb agreement, passive forms, articles, and complete sentence construction. After drafting, check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, especially in longer sentences.
