Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify harm to animals and ecosystems, then suggest recycling and developing alternatives to plastic. The examples about sea turtles and a newly developed biodegradable material are relevant, and your overall view that plastic should be replaced is apparent. However, the damage is explained in limited terms: the effects on animal health are mentioned, but other consequences, such as plastic entering food chains or persisting in waterways and soil, are not developed. The solutions also focus mainly on technology; the question asks what governments and individuals can do, but their respective responsibilities are not clearly distinguished. Explain each effect and give practical actions for both groups to make the response more complete and supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, a paragraph on environmental damage, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Secondly” and “Furthermore” help readers follow the main points. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “To address this problems” does not clearly connect to a specific set of actions, and “give all of power to work as it” is difficult to interpret. The ideas within paragraphs could also progress more logically—for example, explain the damage first, then show how it affects animals and ecosystems. Use clearer references and connect each proposed action to the problem it addresses.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-specific vocabulary, including “non-biodegradable,” “natural ecosystem,” “recycling” and “biodegradable,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “make a huge impact for,” “recycling part,” “garbages” and “suitable factors”; these are not natural or precise expressions in this context. Frequent misspellings such as “evironmental,” “bottel” and “biodearadable” also reduce clarity. Build a reliable set of environmental terms and check spelling, word forms and collocations. Prefer precise phrases such as “damage ecosystems” and “recycling facilities” over vague or translated-sounding wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “When people start this option” and a relative clause in “items … that can easily degradable.” However, attempts at complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. For example, “Plastic garbages … are typically create” has an incorrect verb construction, while “it can be harmful for every life” has unclear agreement and phrasing. The opening “I this statement” and the sentence “when they come to it” also lack clear grammatical structure. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, articles, plurals and clause construction, and punctuate sentences consistently. Shorter, controlled sentences will help you express the ideas clearly before adding complexity.
