Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question by describing possible environmental damage and suggesting action by governments, companies, schools and public figures. The point about plastic being difficult to break down and harming soil is relevant, but the explanation of damage is limited: the discussion of snack-related illness is not clearly linked to plastic itself, and claims about germs and soil effects need clearer support. Your solutions—workshops, awareness campaigns and celebrity influence—are relevant but remain general, with little explanation of how they would reduce plastic use or waste. The conclusion repeats the call for cooperation rather than adding a developed final point. The response is also two words below the required minimum. Develop each main idea with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on damage, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are unclear. For example, the move from plastic packaging to children’s health problems does not explain how plastic causes those problems, while “In this” does not clearly refer to a specific campaign or action. Several ideas are added in a list-like way, including camps, teachers, banners and celebrities, without showing how they connect. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example directly to the point it supports; vary transitions rather than relying mainly on basic sequencing markers.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “plastic packaging,” “soil fertility,” “recycle,” “reusable,” and “awareness,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “plastic storage boxes” where the task focuses on bags, bottles and packaging, “throw their garbages,” and “not easy to bio degradable.” “Atmosphere” is also used where “environment” or “surroundings” would better express the intended meaning. Spelling errors such as “enviornment” add to the impression of limited control. Build a more precise set of environmental terms and check collocations and word forms when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure beginning “As a result” and a conditional idea about celebrities taking action. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns, agreement and verb forms. For example, “everyone use” should be “everyone uses,” “It contain” should be “It contains,” and “many children are suffer” should be “many children suffer.” The sentence “Many people can influence by their activities” is missing a passive verb form, while “if big companies and government work together, it can provide” has unclear agreement and reference. Some sentences also run ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete clause structures before adding more complex sentences.
