Student answer (Band 5.5)

It has been universally acknowledged that the problem of environmental issues due to plastic are escalating at on alarming rate in present scenario. Although a plethora of reasons are there, yet some sensible solutions are also available to resolve this concern with support from individuals as well as governments.

Commencing with the plastic damage, which are responsible for the growth of it. The First reason is that number of people thrown plastic bags, bottles while visiting public places ,Such as parks, rivers .Thus, pollution go to air and causing multiferous disease. For instance, Delhi where pollution rate is higher due to industrial revoulution , where plastic process damage to many historical places. The second contributing factor is plastic bags , as many shops, restaurants often use plastic bags for preparing orders. As plastic polithine effects individuals health becuase it contains carbon dioxide ,which is harful for human breathing system. Therefore Plastic products should be avoided for preventing environemnt .

In order to resolve this serious impediment, Some measures can be taken wither by governments ot individual by stricters rules . Authorities should banned use of plastic items with heavy charges. Furthermore, individual should encourage society by doing camping and explaining importance of environment and health . People should made recycle products and encourage people use that instead of plastic made products.

In Conclusion, Although encouraging and banning plastic is difficult task. I believe government and individuals should come forward to mitigate this complex task by using recycle products in their daily routine. This way we can save future global warming effects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you mention litter in public places and possible harm to people, then propose government restrictions and public awareness and recycling. However, the environmental damage is not explained clearly or accurately enough. The claim that plastic pollution “go[es] to air” and causes disease is vague, and the Delhi example focuses on industrial pollution and damage to historical places rather than showing how plastic harms the environment. Your solutions are relevant, but “banned use of plastic items” and recycling are not explained in practical detail. The conclusion gives a clear general position, but the main ideas need more precise explanation and supporting examples to fully answer the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about damage, a paragraph of solutions, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your answer. You also use signposts such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “In Conclusion.” However, some links are mechanical or unclear, and the opening of the damage paragraph—“Commencing with the plastic damage, which are responsible for the growth of it”—does not establish a clear point. Several ideas are joined with commas or run together, making relationships harder to follow. To improve, begin each body paragraph with a direct topic sentence and use clearer links to show cause, example, and result.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of formal and topic-related vocabulary, including “environmental issues,” “authorities,” “mitigate,” and “recycle products.” This shows an effort to use language suited to an essay. However, many choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “multiferous disease,” “plastic polithine,” “stricters rules,” and “doing camping.” Spelling errors such as “revoulution,” “becuase,” and “harful” also make parts of the response difficult to understand. Some phrases, including “growth of it” and “complex task,” are too vague for the specific topic. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and use precise terms for plastic pollution and its effects.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a concession in “Although a plethora of reasons are there” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “As plastic…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “the problem … are escalating” has subject–verb disagreement, while “Authorities should banned” uses the wrong verb form. “The First reason is that number of people thrown…” also has problems with the article and verb construction. Commas and full stops are often missing or misplaced. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine ideas using controlled clauses.
