Student answer (Band 6.0)
Despite knowing the impoetace of environment haman activities are causing problem such as producing plastic items regularly, for environment for long time. These items are danger to soil as these plastic material is not disposable due to its chemical properties. Therefore, certain possible steps could be taken to mitigate this problem with help of government and public. There various problems such materials are causing, the main two are, lessen the fertilization of soil and extinction of species.firstly, the things made from plastic are not desposable immediately due to its chemical composition, that is they remain in soil for long period, and thus affect the supply of water and other important minerals to soil.in addition, when soil is lessen due to such material, the growth of plants and vegetables reduced and destroy the natural habitat of animals and birds. Therefore, distubing the ecosystem,as many of species are dying out. There some measure that could be taken to allviate these issues, the major two are launching of campaign by goverment and immpletions of strict regulations.Firstly government should show advertisement on television and internet informing the individuals about the dangers of plastic use. in this way public will become more concious about use of suh material, and may minimise or stop to use plastic packaging materials.secondly, government can pass rules against the production of plastic items, because of this there will be no plastic bags, bottles, and other packaging mareial for public use. in conclusion, it is not easy to deal with globle issues without the help of authorities and people of countries.I think everyone should come forward and take part issue tackle this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify environmental damage and suggest actions for governments and the public. The explanation that plastic remains in soil and affects plant growth and animal habitats is relevant, and the proposals for public-awareness campaigns and restrictions on production respond directly to the task. However, some points need clearer development. For example, the claim that plastic reduces soil fertility and affects water and minerals is not explained precisely, and the effects on species are asserted rather than supported with a specific example. The solutions are also quite general: explain how regulations could be enforced or what individuals could do beyond becoming more aware. A clearer, more fully supported explanation of these ideas would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on environmental damage, one on solutions, and a conclusion. This organisation helps the reader follow the two parts of the task, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “in addition,” and “in conclusion” make the progression visible. This is a solid foundation, with some features of stronger cohesion, but links can feel mechanical and some sentences run together, making relationships between ideas less clear. For instance, the explanation beginning “Therefore, disturbing the ecosystem” is not smoothly connected to the preceding sentence. Use full stops to separate complete ideas, and make links more specific—for example, show directly how persistent plastic harms soil organisms or wildlife. Clearer referencing and transitions would make the flow more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “chemical composition,” “natural habitat,” “ecosystem,” “regulations,” and “production,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There is also an attempt to use more formal language, such as “mitigate” and “alleviate.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: examples include “impoetace,” “desposable,” “lessen the fertilization,” and “immpletions of strict regulations.” Some terms are also used in ways that do not express the intended meaning clearly. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common environmental collocations, such as “reduce soil fertility,” “plastic waste persists,” and “enforce regulations.” This would make your vocabulary more precise and dependable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and “therefore,” and the overall meaning can usually be understood. However, control is uneven: some sentences have missing verbs or articles, and several clauses are joined or punctuated in ways that obscure their structure. For example, “There various problems such materials are causing” needs a verb, while “the growth of plants and vegetables reduced” needs an appropriate verb form. The opening sentence also contains several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences, then connect them with conjunctions or full stops. Careful checking of articles, agreement, and punctuation will help your complex ideas read more clearly.
