Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You identified points of agreement, explained how your town differs from others, and offered a guided tour. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited. For instance, you mention that your town has 'several events and cultural programs' but do not provide specific examples to illustrate why it is unique. To achieve a higher band, you should expand on your ideas with more detail and specific examples rather than relying on general statements. Your position is clear, but the overall response lacks the depth required for a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly' and 'On the other hand' to transition between ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are missing or awkward, such as the jump between the article's content and your disagreement. The use of referencing is occasionally unclear, which slightly disrupts the progression of your ideas. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus will help improve your score in this area.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use phrases like 'brilliant manner' and 'brilliant articles,' which are not always the most natural collocations in this context. There are also some word-choice errors, such as 'admire me' instead of 'impressed me' and 'clearity' (a spelling error). To improve, try to use a wider range of vocabulary related to urban planning or community life and focus on using words in their correct collocations. You have enough vocabulary to communicate your message, but it does not show the flexibility required for a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of your writing. Examples include 'I'm not agree with you' (should be 'I do not agree'), 'these all aspects has depict describe' (incorrect verb tense and structure), and 'give you tour' (missing article). While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in subject-verb agreement and sentence construction prevent the writing from being considered accurate. Focusing on basic sentence structure and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms will significantly improve your accuracy.
