Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You successfully state your disagreement with the article, provide reasons why your town is unique (focusing on community values and social environment), and extend an invitation for a tour. However, the explanation of why your town is different is slightly vague, relying on general statements about 'dignity' and 'mutual respect' rather than specific, concrete examples of local features. To reach a higher band, ensure your arguments are more fully extended with specific details that clearly contrast your town with the 'similar' ones mentioned in the newspaper article.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'however', 'besides that', and 'moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical errors in sentence structure, such as the transition between the discussion of buildings and the community focus. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between the buildings and the community qualities feels disjointed. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use some relevant terms like 'indispensable', 'educational institutions', and 'cultural heritage', which is positive. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'demonstrate about your article' (instead of 'comment on') and 'have develop a environment' (instead of 'have developed an environment'). Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'recentely' and 'socities'. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring accurate word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('buildings have same colour', 'all facilities are easily availabe'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('I will to offers you'). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly the use of semicolons and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors require the reader to work harder to understand your message. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
