Dear sir,

I am writing to respond to your article recently published in national newspaper, which claimed that all the town centers look similar. although i agree that there are some certain similarity beetween them but i do not symbolize entirely.

It is true that in one country there are some similarities shows by there buildings and centres like some chain stores, restaurants and cafes. in addition, incresing number of shopping centres, mall and tall complex has some remarkably similarities. nevertheless, my hometown jaipur has many features that makes it very distinguish.

One of the most noticeable difference is its historical architecture. this city is world wide famouse with the name of Pink-city as it has all the wall of the building is pink, it has very remarkeable and impressive historical landmark like Hawa mahal. Unlike many modern town centres, shopping malls, and varies visiting family run shops selling stone jewellary, handicraft products, Moreover, many textile companies and many more educational institutions. the street is full of local food stals and vibrant bazaar, which give a unique atmosphare.

I would be pleased to give writer a guided tour to the city if the ever have the opportunity, I am confident after visiting the city there view would definatly changed.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all three bullet points of the task. You clearly state your partial agreement with the article, provide specific examples of how Jaipur differs from other towns, and extend a polite invitation for a tour. The position is consistent throughout. However, the development of ideas is slightly hampered by language errors, and some points, such as the description of the town, could be more cohesive. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully expanded with more sophisticated reasoning rather than just listing features. Overall, the task requirements are well-met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'in addition', 'nevertheless', and 'moreover' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition into the list of features in the third paragraph. Additionally, there are some issues with sentence-level cohesion, where the flow between ideas is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'architecture', 'handicraft', and 'vibrant'. However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'distinguish' instead of 'distinctive', 'famouse' instead of 'famous', and 'stals' instead of 'stalls'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning the correct word forms (e.g., adjectives vs. verbs) and proofreading for common spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'similarities shows'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and consistent capitalization before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
