Dear sir,

i am writing this letter regarding, as you said in the newspaper that all urban areas look the same, however every town has their own vary identity.

there are some points in which i agree to make my town like other towns. firstly if i talk about education there are some schools and colleges run by the government which also provide students internships which help them gain experience. Secondly the hospital is also available for everyone and authorities provide them funds that are easy to get proper treatment. these are also available in other towns.

besides this there are a number of reasons which make my town different from other towns. the prime reason is that in my town there are many places where every year lots of tourists reach to see the beauty of my town like historical places, popular garden and picnic sport. Moreover their local food is also very famous and special sweets are more attentive.

in my town there is a very famous sikh temple and every year neumrous visitor visit there. there are many amenties available for citizens like gym, cinemas , and malls. Their public transport is also very good as compared to other towns.

Therefore I believe my town is different from other town ares.

your faithfully,

kamal.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: you acknowledged the article's claims, explained how your town is unique, and offered a tour. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, when discussing the points you agree with, you mention schools and hospitals, which are standard in almost every town, rather than specific aspects of the article's argument about 'sameness'. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to an editor, though it could be more formal. To improve, ensure your arguments are more focused on the specific prompt and provide more depth in your explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'firstly', 'secondly', and 'moreover' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the agreement section and the disagreement section could be smoother. Additionally, there are some issues with punctuation and capitalization (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I', and inconsistent use of commas), which occasionally disrupts the flow of the text. Improving your use of linking phrases and ensuring consistent paragraph structure will help you achieve a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, such as 'internships', 'historical places', and 'amenities'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and spelling errors, such as 'vary identity' (instead of 'unique identity'), 'attentive' (instead of 'appealing' or 'attractive'), and 'neumrous' (spelling). These errors do not prevent understanding, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and proofreading for spelling mistakes. Expanding your vocabulary to include more sophisticated adjectives and nouns related to urban planning would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every town has their own'), missing articles (e.g., 'the hospital is also available'), and incorrect preposition usage. Furthermore, the lack of capitalization for 'I' and the beginning of sentences is a recurring error that affects the overall quality of the writing. While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation indicate that you need to focus on accuracy and sentence construction to reach a higher band.
