Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You stated your partial agreement with the article, explained why your town is unique, and offered a guided tour. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, your explanation of why your town is different relies on general statements about infrastructure and industry rather than specific, descriptive details that would make your argument more convincing. To improve, try to provide concrete examples of what makes your town unique, such as specific landmarks, cultural aspects, or local traditions, rather than just mentioning the airport.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical structure, moving from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the closing. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Moreover, the in the bigger cities' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is present, but the connection between sentences could be smoother. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would help the reader follow your argument more effectively and improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'I am writing a letter on the behalf of' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'different style of town centers'. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'I am partially agree' instead of 'I partially agree'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning or local geography.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
Your writing contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. For example, 'I am partially agree' is incorrect, and 'the in the bigger cities of my country has more traffic' contains unnecessary articles and subject-verb agreement issues. Additionally, punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with comma splices where two independent clauses are joined incorrectly. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and ensuring each sentence has a clear structure will significantly improve your accuracy.
