Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you acknowledge positive features mentioned in the article, describe differences in your town centre, and invite the writer for a guided tour. Your position—that the article is “not fully convincing”—is clear. The traditional building design and local food quality are relevant examples, but the points you agree with are not clearly tied to claims in the article, and the differences could be explained more specifically. For example, identify a distinctive building or local food and explain what makes it unusual compared with other towns. The invitation is present, though “on your own” makes the offer sound less like a guided tour. Developing these details would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable progression: you introduce your response to the article, discuss points of agreement, describe differences, and finish with an invitation. Paragraphing helps separate these stages, and linking expressions such as “Apart from this” and “Moreover” show how ideas relate. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence is difficult to follow, and the shift from recreational facilities and shops to traditional architecture is abrupt. The long second paragraph also combines several distinct points. Use clearer topic sentences and make the comparison between your town and other centres explicit; this would strengthen the logical flow and make references such as “the other ones” easier to understand.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the letter and attempt some less common expressions, including “traditional infrastructure,” “recreational activities,” and “economical power.” The reader can generally understand your main points, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision. For instance, “address you about” and “scrutinizen town centre” do not express your intended meaning naturally, while “economical power” is not the usual phrase for a town’s financial benefit. Spelling and word-form slips such as “thats” and “scrutinizen” also affect control. Prefer straightforward, accurate collocations, and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your descriptions sound more natural and convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which” and “where.” Some sentences communicate the intended meaning, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “the article that published by you” is missing an auxiliary verb, and “There are few things which I consider makes it varies” has problems with agreement and verb forms. The sentence beginning “Prior giving” also needs a different grammatical construction. Several sentences run together without adequate spacing or punctuation, making them harder to process. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them; careful editing for verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries would improve clarity.
