Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you state agreement with the article’s general observation, describe features of your town centre, and offer the writer a guided tour. Your position is clear in “I agree most center points are same as other towns,” while the rooftop building and its city view provide a relevant contrast. The invitation is also supported with details about historical sites, the dam, local hospitality and food. However, the agreement point is explained more fully than the ways your centre differs; the list of shop types is quite general, and the rooftop feature could be described more precisely. Develop one or two distinctive features with specific detail so the reader can see more clearly why your town is unusual.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for your comments on the article, your town centre and the invitation. This makes the main stages of the message easy to follow. Some links between ideas are less clear, however. The paragraph beginning “Because town center are the main piont” moves from the role of town centres to agreement with the article without a smooth explanation of how the points connect. The repeated use of “Also” and “Because” makes the progression somewhat mechanical, and the opening paragraph ends without clear punctuation. Use more direct transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit; for example, connect the general observation to your own contrasting example with “However, my town centre has…”.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “town centre,” “guided tour,” “historical” and “traditional food,” and the reader can generally understand the places and features you mean. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less precise, such as “reed,” “aritcal,” “senice view” and “hospitile.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “main piont of every places” and “historical resorts.” Choose more accurate expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe the rooftop as a “viewing terrace” and refer to “historic sites” rather than “historical resorts.” This would make your descriptions clearer and more appropriate for a formal letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “When any outsider visit other town they must explore the center of town,” so there is some variety in sentence structure. However, errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction occur in several places. Examples include “town center are,” “my town have,” and “it contain”; these subjects require matching verb forms. The opening sentence also needs a clearer structure, and the sentence beginning “Because town center…” is incomplete as written. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly around the opening and the list of shops. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building complete sentences, while retaining your attempts to combine related ideas.
