Student answer (Band 6.0)
While some enjoy trying new things such as visiting unfamiliar places or different types of foods, others prefer to stay in their comfort zone and keep doing things which are already common for them. I will discuss both views and give my opinion.
On the one hand, people prefer to go through changes in life and experience different lifestyles. For example, there are people who travel a lot and have the goal to see each part of the world, during that, they learn various cultures by meeting new people, trying local food and just adapting in new environment. From my view, trying new things allows individual to learn how people far from their own country live. Moreover, they get the oppurtunity to explore numerous landmarks and expend their knowledge of different cultures.
On the other hand, others keep doing things they are already familiar with. By this they dont face to challenges and live peacefully without being under pressure. For example, one of my friend is working at the same company for seven years now, and he says he will work for another several years there, the reason is that he already got used to the environment and the job. Therefore, he isn't willing to make changes to his career.
To conclude, some prefer to try new things and have some changes in their life, while others dont see the need to leave their comfort zone and face new challenges by trying things which are not familliar to them. I believe that trying things in life is really enjoyable and allows individuals to expend their knowledge about various things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both attitudes and state your own view clearly: the essay explains the appeal of travel and cultural discovery, contrasts this with the security of familiar work, and concludes that trying new things is enjoyable and broadens knowledge. These points are relevant, and the travel example gives the first view some support. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits of novelty are explained in several ways, while the familiar-routine argument relies mainly on one friend’s job choice and the claim that it avoids pressure. Explain more fully why people value predictability, perhaps through comfort, financial security, or reduced risk. Your opinion is clear, but a more specific reason or example would make it better supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each attitude, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the example about your friend is placed appropriately. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the stronger control associated with a more flexible progression. However, links within sentences are occasionally awkward: “during that” does not connect smoothly to the travel example, and “By this” is an unclear reference to the preceding idea. The conclusion also largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Use more precise referencing and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including phrases such as “stay in their comfort zone,” “adapting,” “landmarks,” and “under pressure.” These help communicate the contrast between novelty and familiarity, and the meaning remains clear despite some inaccurate choices. At times, however, word choice and collocation are imprecise: “each part of the world” is less natural than “every part of the world,” while “expend their knowledge” should be “expand their knowledge.” “Different types of foods” is also less idiomatic than “different types of food.” Spelling slips such as “oppurtunity” and “familliar,” along with informal “dont,” reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and proofread spelling and apostrophes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex forms, including relative clauses (“things which are already common for them”) and reason clauses (“the reason is that he already got used to the environment”). Most ideas remain understandable, and the sentence structures are varied enough to express comparison and explanation. Some grammatical errors persist, however. In “there are people who travel a lot and have the goal to see each part of the world, during that,” the comma joins clauses that need clearer punctuation or restructuring. There are also issues with articles and agreement in “allows individual to learn” and “one of my friend,” as well as the construction “face to challenges.” Review articles, plural forms, and sentence boundaries, while keeping the complex structures you are attempting.
