Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is an undeniable fact that, due to globalization people get opportunity to explore different places and kind of food. However, few individual like to visit numerous places and eat types of cuisines instead of doing same things they are familiar with. As far as I am concerned, I am in the favor of first notion that I will explain in the upcoming paragraph along with my own opinion.
To commence with the former view, why people like to taste different food and places because they think that exploring the other countries help them to enhance their knowledge regarding different culture and traditions. Apart from that, they also get chance to taste something different from their usual dishes.
On the other side, most of masses like to continue same things. There are number of reasons behind these. Firstly, they cannot afford the expense of visiting another countries tours because of their financial strain. Secondly, some people think that it is a wastage of money to invest on food and exploring the other nation rather than they have to spend on their higher education that help them in future to get a good job.
According to my point of view, people should have to travel. With this they can learn how to communicate with other people who are from another background and to talk with they have to find a common language that they both know very well. Trying types of food assist public to give knowledge regarding the number of spices and flavour that increase the beauty of the dishes.
In the summation, although due to people thoughts and financial conditions are not able to explore things but they are lots of pros while trying new things that cannot be ignored.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the reasons provided for why people prefer familiarity—financial constraints and prioritizing education—are relevant but could be expanded with more depth. The personal opinion is clear, but the supporting arguments regarding communication and spices are slightly simplistic. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more detailed explanations or concrete examples. The structure is logical, but the overall depth of analysis remains at a basic level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'On the other side', and 'In the summation', though some are used mechanically or slightly incorrectly (e.g., 'In the summation' should be 'In summary'). Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow between sentences feels a bit disjointed. The logical progression is present, but the use of linking words could be more natural and varied to improve the overall cohesion of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'globalization' and 'cuisines', but there are also frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'most of masses' (should be 'the masses') and 'types of food' (repetitive). Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'I am in the favor of first notion'. While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and lacks the precision required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the other countries'), subject-verb agreement, and preposition usage ('talk with they have to find'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent and occur in both simple and complex sentences. To improve, the student should focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with pluralization and article usage, before attempting more complex structures. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but sentence construction needs more refinement.
